All of a sudden this afternoon (4/22) I realized I’d started the Hudson Valley Backyard Farm Company one year ago, and on Earth Day no less. Last year was slow, but things are really starting to take off. I’ve installed small gardens

and big ones

Four Beds Installed, Six to Go

and others between.

I’m learning a lot and meeting many people who are really excited about growing their own veggies. Some of these people have hired me and others not, some have been students (I just finished teaching an Organic Gardening class), and some of you have been here online. There seems to be more and more of us who want to take control of our food supply and that’s great to see.
