Spring Classes and Events

In spite of the snow on the ground, Spring is only three weeks away and I have a lot of classes where you can learn to have a successful organic vegetable garden of your own. And I’ll be at a number of events where you can come talk to me if you want to learn more about what I do or find out about getting your own Hudson Valley Backyard Farm. All of these opportunities are listed in detail on my Classes and Events page, but here are some of the highlights.

This weekend, March 2-4 I’ll be at the Hudson Valley Home Show at Gold’s Gym in Lagrange. Admission is free. I’ll have a display garden there so you can get an idea of what your garden could look like.

I’m installing a garden at the InnerLight Health Spa soon and I’ll be running a number of classes there through the year which I’ll continue to post as they get closer. The first three classes are Seed Starting on Saturday, March 24; Organic Vegetable Gardening on Sunday, April 8; and a Drip Irrigation Workshop (in which you’ll see me install a drip irrigation system- it’s easy, really!) on Saturday, May 5.

I’ll also be teaching again at Red Hook Continuing Education where you have another opportunity to take Organic Vegetable Gardening  on  three Wednesday nights,  April 11-25 and Introduction to Food Preservation the following three Wednesdays, May 2-16.

Hope to meet you and one or more of these events. And remember, if you can’t make it to any of these classes, you can schedule any of them (and others) at your home. Just contact me and we’ll work out the arrangements.
