I had my first harvest of the year today. It’s only 1 1/2 oz of Broccoli, but a harvest is a harvest. Really it’s a leftover from last year because it’s Broccoli that survived the winter. It was a total accident that it happened. I’d put row covers over my Broccoli late last year to extend my harvest and then the snow came so soon that I never got the row covers off and apparently it was just enough insulation to allow some of the plants to survive (5 out of 12 or so).
Unintentional gardening like this is one of the things I really love about gardening.
